In an interview with Indian media, the Bollywood actor said she carefully considers financial terms before signing any film or project. She explained that she always asks for payment that reflects her experience, abilities and current professional standing.
Experience Changed Her Perspective
Gill recalled that she once worked without charging any fee. However, she said that decision did not bring her the recognition or respect she expected.
As a result, she learned the importance of valuing her work. She said the experience changed her perspective on professional compensation.
‘Money Also Earns You Respect’
Speaking about her approach, Gill said, “Money is very important because it also earns you respect.”
She added that producers often agree to the amount she requests. However, she sometimes accepts a lower fee when necessary. Even then, she said she never hesitates to ask for what she believes her work deserves.

Furthermore, Gill encouraged fellow artists to recognize their worth and confidently negotiate fair payment.
According to her, success comes through perseverance, hard work and overcoming challenges. Therefore, artists should never underestimate the value of their efforts.
