Turbat Killings have raised fresh security concerns after six labourers who were abducted two days ago in Balochistan were found dead with gunshot wounds, police said.

Authorities recovered the bodies after local administration officials reached the scene. Police shifted the victims to a hospital and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the killings. Officials are also completing the identification process.

Security sources identified the deceased as Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Taimoor, Muhammad Parvez, Muhammad Wazir, Muhammad Amjad and Muhammad Yahya.

Authorities Confirm Victims’ Identities

Balochistan Adviser for the Home Department Babar Yousafzai confirmed that the recovered bodies belonged to the six abducted labourers.

He said four of the victims were residents of Punjab, while two belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Yousafzai, armed attackers abducted seven labourers from the Kalatak area of Turbat two days earlier. The attackers shot one worker dead during the abduction. They later killed the remaining six after taking them to an unknown location.

Attack Follows Recent Violence

The killings came days after another deadly attack in Mashkail, Balochistan, where five non-local labourers lost their lives.

The victims had been working on development projects in the province. Officials said they were contributing to infrastructure development and economic progress.

Moreover, authorities described the latest attack as another assault on unarmed workers and development activities in Balochistan.

Police Rescue 12 Hostages in Gwadar

Meanwhile, police carried out a separate operation in Gwadar and rescued 12 people who had allegedly been lured from Punjab with false promises of employment.

During the operation, police arrested three suspects and seized five vehicles.

The suspects were identified as Baheeruddin and Nadir Shah, both residents of Awaran, and Abdul Majeed, a resident of Panjgur.

Investigation Underway

Police said investigators are collecting evidence and pursuing those responsible for the killings.

Furthermore, officials said attacks targeting innocent labourers undermine development efforts and threaten public security in Balochistan.

Security forces, meanwhile, continue operations against militant elements across the province.
