What Muhammad Burhan Mirza does outside the Startup World

June 9, 2026

In conversations around startups and early-stage investing in Pakistan, Muhammad Burhan Mirza is often framed through his work. His involvement in multiple ventures including co-founding The Coach360 and Skills360, and his growing presence in founder circles tend to define the public narrative around him. Yet, away from business discussions there is a quieter, less visible side to how he spends his time.

Outside the routines of meetings, mentoring sessions, and investment evaluations, Mirza appears to lean into activities that are more reflective and personal in nature. In recent years, one of the more notable additions to his routine has been writing. Moving beyond short-form insights and advisory content, he has taken a more structured approach to authorship and has published two books. While the themes of these books remain aligned with personal growth, career direction, and mindset, the shift itself is significant. It suggests a move from direct interaction with audiences to building a more permanent body of work that can be consumed independently.

Writing, in this sense, functions as an extension of his coaching ecosystem, but also as a standalone pursuit. It allows for a different pace. Unlike the immediacy of digital platforms or live sessions, books demand continuity, discipline, and a willingness to articulate ideas with greater clarity. For someone operating in fast-moving startup environments, this slower, more deliberate process offers a contrast.  Alongside writing, Mirza’s interests also include sports, which he reportedly follows with consistency. While not positioned as a professional pursuit, sports appear to serve as both recreation and reset. Whether as an active participant or a spectator, engagement with sports introduces a different kind of structure into his routine. It is less about outcomes in a business sense and more about rhythm, competition, and focus.

This combination of writing and sports points to a broader pattern. Much of what occupies his time outside business seems to revolve around balance rather than escape. Instead of moving into entirely unrelated domains, his activities tend to complement his primary work. Writing reinforces communication and thought structuring, while sports contribute to discipline and mental reset.

Beyond these more visible pursuits, there is limited public documentation of how he spends his downtime in a purely private sense. Unlike figures who actively curate lifestyle narratives, Mirza’s off-work activities are not extensively broadcast. This creates a profile that remains largely work-centric in public perception, even if the reality includes a broader range of engagements. What does emerge, however, is a consistent emphasis on productivity, even in non-business contexts. Writing is structured. Sports involve routine and discipline. Both require time management, which mirrors the demands of managing multiple ventures or mentoring founders. Rather than a clear separation between work and leisure, there appears to be a continuity in how time is approached.

This continuity may also explain how individuals like Mirza manage to operate across multiple roles. The boundaries between professional output and personal development become less rigid. Activities such as writing are both reflective and productive. Sports are both recreational and performance oriented. Each feeds back into the other in subtle ways. In the case of Muhammad Burhan Mirza, the image that forms is not one of stark contrast between work and life, but of alignment. His off-hours are not defined by detachment from his professional identity, but by extensions of it in different formats. Whether through writing, where ideas are refined and documented, or through sports, where discipline takes a different shape, the pattern remains consistent.

As his presence continues to evolve across platforms and formats, these quieter aspects may gain more visibility. For now, they remain secondary to his primary work, but they offer useful context. They show how time outside the boardroom is structured, and how even that time contributes, directly or indirectly, to the broader narrative around his work.
