KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) organized a peace walk in Karachi, bringing together business leaders, industry representatives, women entrepreneurs, and media personnel to express solidarity for national stability and economic reform.
The FPCCI reaffirmed its support for the State of Pakistan, its armed forces, government institutions, and national agencies, emphasizing that peace and stability are essential for sustainable economic development.
The walk started from the Arts Council of Pakistan and concluded at the Karachi Press Club, where participants addressed the media and highlighted key national and economic concerns.
Prominent participants included Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry representatives such as Senior Vice Presidents, former office bearers, and business leaders including members from trade bodies, chambers, and industrial associations.
Speaking on the occasion, business leaders stressed that Pakistan stands at a critical juncture where national security must be matched with strong economic reforms, policy continuity, ease of doing business, and improved investor protection to attract foreign direct investment.
They emphasized the importance of strengthening the rule of law and ensuring a transparent and predictable legal system to build confidence among local and international investors. According to participants, secure contracts, property rights, and timely dispute resolution are essential for economic growth.
The speakers further noted that Pakistan has the potential to become a strong regional economic power if it adopts consistent reforms and capitalizes on available opportunities. However, failure to do so could have long-term economic consequences.
The participants jointly called for aligning peace, stability, justice, and economic reforms to ensure long-term prosperity and self-reliance for the country.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from stakeholders to support national unity and work toward economic stability and growth.
