Pakistan Defeated a Five-Times Larger Enemy in “Marka-e-Haq,” Says DG ISPR on First Anniversary of Conflict

ISLAMABAD: On the completion of one year since “Marka-e-Haq,” Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that Pakistan had defeated a significantly larger adversary across all operational domains.

Addressing a detailed press conference alongside senior officers of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force, the DG ISPR congratulated the nation and said Pakistan had inflicted a “decisive and humiliating defeat” on an enemy that was “five times larger in size.”

He said Pakistan had shattered what he described as the adversary’s perceived dominance and altered the dynamics of modern warfare. “We changed the direction of war,” he remarked, adding that Pakistan demonstrated capability across multi-domain operations including air, land, sea, and cyber warfare.

Referring to the 2025 conflict, he reiterated that Pakistan had always remained prepared and capable of responding to any aggression. He claimed that Pakistan’s response during the conflict had exposed vulnerabilities in the opposing side’s military and strategic narrative.

The DG ISPR alleged that India had long propagated a false narrative regarding Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism, and reiterated that Pakistan had consistently rejected such claims. He also questioned India’s evidence regarding the Pahalgam incident, stating that allegations were made without proper investigation.

He further said that India had failed to substantiate its claims even after one year, adding that accusations were made within minutes of the incident. He described such actions as part of a broader pattern of misinformation.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry accused India of engaging in state-sponsored proxy activities and alleged involvement in destabilizing actions in the region, including references to Afghanistan. He claimed that India uses propaganda narratives to shift blame for internal security issues.

He also stated that Pakistan had successfully countered hostile actions and would continue to respond firmly to any future aggression. “We will not leave space for any proxy activities,” he said.

The military spokesperson further emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to regional stability and peace, stating that nuclear-armed states engaging in conflict would be “irrational and dangerous.”

He added that Pakistan would continue to strengthen its defense capabilities and demonstrate its potential in upcoming national displays of power, while reaffirming commitment to safeguarding sovereignty at all costs.

Referring to Kashmir, he maintained that it remains an internationally recognized disputed territory, governed by United Nations resolutions, and accused India of human rights violations in the region.

The DG ISPR concluded by stating that Pakistan will continue to expose what he termed misinformation campaigns and will remain prepared to defend national interests on all fronts.
