The ceremony was attended by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Science and Information Technology Ali Rashid, Secretary Local Government Dr. Waseem Shamshad, Senior Member Board of Revenue Syed Khalid Haider Shah, Member Board of Revenue Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, Vice President National Bank of Pakistan Faisal Nawaz, Head of Transactions Bank of Punjab Sharjeel Raza, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Sindh Bank Syed Asad Ali Shah, along with other senior officials.

The Provincial Minister stated that the existing tax collection system is being upgraded in line with modern requirements and integrated with the online system of the Board of Revenue. This will make the process of property transfer faster, easier, and more transparent. He added that this initiative aligns with the vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to provide services to the public at their doorstep.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah further said that direct collection of stamp duty and other taxes will strengthen local councils financially and improve their performance. He highlighted that the local government, Board of Revenue, and the three major banks are being interconnected through a unified online system, making the tax collection process more efficient and reliable.

He emphasized that the online collection system for property tax is a major facilitation by the Sindh Government for both the public and local councils, utilizing modern technology to improve public service delivery. He thanked all public and private institutions for their cooperation in the project and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting transparency, good governance, and modern systems.
