Karachi: The 4th European Film Festival (EUFF) 2025 is returning to Pakistan this November, bringing an inspiring mix of European cinema, cultural dialogue, and creative exchange to audiences across Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.

Hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan and curated by Olomopolo Media, the festival will screen 19 feature films and 10 shorts from EU member states. The lineup spans multiple genres—from comedy and drama to documentary and fiction—reflecting Europe’s cinematic diversity and storytelling depth.

The films explore universal themes of family, identity, friendship, love, climate change, war, and human rights, inviting viewers to engage with shared global narratives.

The festival opens in Islamabad on November 7–8 at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), before moving to Karachi on November 15–16 at the Karachi Film School, and concluding in Lahore on November 22–23 at the Alhamra Arts Council.

Each city will feature film screenings, interactive installations, and creative workshops, alongside events such as Filmmakers Mixers, dramatic readings, and social dances. Highlights include Behind the Curtain of High Mountains (Czech Republic), Without Air (Hungary), That They May Face the Rising Sun (Ireland), and The Olive Tree (Spain). Family-friendly selections like Itty Bitty Princess (Finland) and My Dad is a Sausage (Belgium) add a lighter touch to the program.

Beyond screenings, EUFF 2025 offers immersive cultural spaces — including a “Wall of Fame” celebrating a century of European cinema, the Human Slot Game, and a 360° camera installation. Visitors can also enjoy the Reading Nook, Kids’ Corner, and curated food kiosks, transforming each venue into a vibrant creative hub.

Free and open to the public, the festival welcomes families, students, artists, diplomats, and film enthusiasts to experience cinema as a tool for dialogue and connection.

EUFF 2025 is supported by FM91 (Radio Partner), HUM TV & HUM NEWS (Media Partners), and cultural collaborators including Pakistan Film Society, Digital Development Lab, Kitab Ghar, Suno Kahani Meri Zubani, and Alhamra Arts Council.

Curated by Olomopolo Media, the festival reflects the organisation’s ongoing mission to promote artistic expression, social awareness, and cross-cultural understanding through the performing and visual arts.
