Karachi: The FAST International Art Competition brought together hundreds of talented young artists from across Pakistan at a local art center in Karachi, celebrating youth creativity on an international platform. Children’s performances particularly captivated the audience, drawing praise from both judges and attendees.

Prominent Leaders Attend as Chief Guests
Political figures Miftah Ismail, Secretary General of Awaam Pakistan Party, and Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener for Balochistan, Awaam Pakistan Party, attended the event as chief guests. They commended the participants and highlighted the importance of nurturing artistic talent among the youth.

Art as a Powerful Medium of Expression
“Art is not just a form of expression—it’s a covenant. It reflects the thoughts, emotions, and aspirations of our youth,” said Miftah Ismail. “Such platforms give us hope for Pakistan’s future because our youth are our true strength.”

Empowering the Next Generation
Syed Aman Shah emphasized the need to support creativity alongside academics:
“We should not limit our youth to jobs alone. Their creative, scientific, and artistic potential must be recognized.” He quoted Allama Iqbal, stating, “Iqbal is not despondent about his barren land; with a drop of dew, this soil can become fertile, O Saaqi.”

He added that today’s youth can shape the world through their ideas, character, and purpose—not just through tools like pens, brushes, or microphones.

Diverse Art Categories and Recognition
The competition featured various categories such as painting, calligraphy, digital art, and environmental themes. Top-performing young artists were honored with awards, certificates, and special shields.

Celebrating Talent and Cultural Growth
At the closing ceremony, Miftah Ismail and Syed Aman Shah distributed certificates and praised the organizers for creating a platform that enables Pakistani youth to showcase their skills globally.

The event is seen as a significant step toward promoting cultural and creative engagement in Pakistan, empowering the next generation to contribute positively to both national and international communities.
