126th year of independence of the Philippines and 75 years of Pakistan-Philippine relations, a grand ceremony was held at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
The ceremony officially began with the national anthems of Pakistan and the Philippines. On this occasion, Philippine Ambassador Maria Agnes Cervantes, Honorary Council General Dr. Imran Yusuf, Minister of Culture Sindh Syed Zulfikar Shah, President Arts Council Ahmed Shah and others were present at the ceremony.
Artistes from the Philippines performed in the event. Which was appreciated by the audience.
The students of the Philippines Banori Town presented a Recitation. Various stalls were set up on this occasion. The Art Council hall was filled with Philippines living in Pakistan.
A cake was also cut on this occasion. In which the Ambassador of the Philippines, Consul General of UAE Bakhit Al Rumiti, Consul General of Turkey Jamal Sango, Consul General of Malaysia Harmin Hardinata Ahmed, Consul General of Japan Hattori Masaru, Honorary Consul General Imran Yusuf cut the cake. At the end, participants were treated to delicious Filipino cuisine.
