Partnership with Pakistan Airports Authority enhances connectivity for domestic and international travelers

KARACHI: Zong 4G has partnered with the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) to establish a dedicated 5G Customer Facilitation Desk at Jinnah International Airport, aimed at improving digital connectivity and customer support for travelers.

The newly launched facility will provide domestic and international passengers with immediate access to SIM activation services, high-speed mobile data connectivity, and real-time customer assistance upon arrival at one of Pakistan’s busiest airports.

The initiative expands Zong’s airport facilitation model, which has already been introduced at airports in Islamabad and Lahore. The company said the move reflects its commitment to enhancing customer experience through next-generation telecommunications services while supporting Pakistan’s broader digital transformation goals.

According to Zong, the facilitation desk is designed to strengthen the airport’s digital ecosystem by ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for passengers. The company also announced plans to further extend similar services through kiosk installations at airports in Peshawar and Multan.

As part of its wider technology strategy, Zong continues to develop digital products and services that address the evolving connectivity needs of consumers and businesses. The company noted that it is increasingly focusing on AI-enabled solutions to deliver smarter and more efficient travel experiences aligned with the vision of a Digital Pakistan.

Speaking at the launch, Anas Matloob, Deputy Regional General Manager – South at Zong, said Karachi serves as a key gateway for both domestic and international travelers, making reliable connectivity an essential part of the travel experience.

He stated that the initiative would enable passengers to access telecom services immediately upon arrival, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, customer convenience, and service excellence.

A representative of the Pakistan Airports Authority said the collaboration would enhance passenger facilitation through modern digital services and contribute to a more connected and seamless airport experience.

The launch highlights the joint efforts of Zong and PAA to leverage technology for improved passenger services and strengthen Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.
