KARACHI: Pakistan Influencer Awards officially launched in Karachi, introducing a new industry-backed platform designed to recognise digital creators for their authentic impact, credibility and contribution to Pakistan’s fast-growing creator economy.

The initiative aims to move beyond traditional popularity metrics by rewarding creators based on measurable influence, meaningful audience engagement, consistency, educational value and community impact. Organisers said the awards will use a transparent, research-backed evaluation process to set higher standards across the country’s digital content industry.

The platform is supported by a distinguished advisory board comprising leading professionals from media, communications and research sectors. Organisers said the board will ensure that every recognition reflects transparency, accountability and data-driven assessment. The initiative also enjoys support from industry partners, research experts and ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen trust within Pakistan’s creator economy.

The launch ceremony featured keynote discussions, creator-led conversations and a live musical performance. Talha Aslam, Chief Curator of Pakistan Influencer Awards, introduced the vision behind the initiative, while advisory board members including Fouad Husain, Chief Executive Officer of Starcrest Communications (Pvt.) Ltd., Hasan Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer of BBPR Pakistan, and Jerjees Seja, Chief Executive Officer of ARY Digital Network, discussed the future of Pakistan’s digital creator landscape.

Faraz Bashir, Director Data, Insights & Evaluation, and Hassaan Azhar, Director Partnerships & Growth, explained the awards’ evaluation framework, strategic partnerships and commercial model. Abdul Sattar Babar, Chief Executive Officer of Ipsos Pakistan, highlighted the research methodology, audit mechanisms and transparency standards that will underpin the awards.

Speaking at the launch, Talha Aslam said the initiative seeks to recognise creators while building a more credible and responsible creator ecosystem. He added that the platform aims to establish trusted industry standards that benefit creators, brands and audiences alike while helping Pakistan’s digital talent gain global recognition.

The event concluded with the unveiling of the Pakistan Influencer Awards’ official brand identity and trophy, followed by a panel discussion featuring prominent creators Asad Memon, Bilal Munir, Junaid Akram and Natasha Lakhani, moderated by Dino Ali.

Organisers said the Pakistan Influencer Awards will serve as more than a conventional awards programme by promoting creators who educate audiences, build communities and shape Pakistan’s digital culture, ultimately contributing to a stronger and more respected creator economy.
