tickets to the largest FIFA World Cup in history

Business Reporter

Karachi: Visa, the Official Payment Technology Partner of FIFA and a global leader in digital payments, has announced the launch of its first-ever Visa Presale Draw for the FIFA World Cup 26™. This exclusive opportunity gives Visa Debit, Credit, and reloadable prepaid cardholders worldwide early access to apply for tickets to the most anticipated sporting event on the planet.

The announcement was made at the Visa Payments Vault in Washington, D.C., during the Visa FIFA World Cup 26™ Reception, where officials from Canada, Mexico, and the United States gathered to celebrate trilateral collaboration and the unifying power of sport.

Leila Serhan, Senior Vice President and Group Country Manager for North Africa, Levant, and Pakistan at Visa, said, “From Pakistan, where the official match ball is being crafted with precision, to Jordan’s historic first qualification, our region is deeply connected to this tournament. We’re not just connecting fans to football — we’re empowering communities, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to shine on the global stage.”

Visa Presale Draw Details:
From September 10–19, Visa cardholders can apply for the Visa Presale Draw — a randomized process that offers selected entrants the chance to purchase tickets before general sales begin. Participants need a FIFA ID to register at FIFA.com/tickets. Winners will be notified by email no earlier than September 30 and assigned a dedicated time slot in October to purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Visa will be the exclusive payment method during the presale window.

FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai encouraged fans to be ready: “A ticket to the FIFA World Cup™ is more than just entry to a match — it’s a gateway to the most inclusive and spectacular tournament in history.”

Beyond ticketing, Visa is helping businesses — from street vendors in Mexico City to bakeries in Vancouver — prepare for the economic boost of the tournament, offering insights and tools to maximize opportunities from World Cup tourism.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the first to feature 48 teams, 104 matches over 39 days, and 16 host cities across three countries, marking the largest edition in the tournament’s history.
