US Strikes American forces complete new wave of attacks on Iran

US Strikes on Iran continued late Monday after the US military confirmed it had completed another wave of attacks under orders from President Donald Trump.

US Central Command said the five-hour operation targeted military sites in Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas. The military announced the operation in a statement posted on X.

The latest attacks marked the third consecutive night of US strikes on Iran. Meanwhile, President Trump said his administration would reinstate a blockade of Iranian shipping and proposed charging a 20% fee to protect vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Iran’s top joint military command rejected the proposal. Military officials said the United States had no authority to decide the future of the strategic waterway and would not be allowed to interfere.

Earlier, Iran announced it was closing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy shipping routes.

The current conflict began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran. Iran later responded with attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries that host US military bases.

Since then, the conflict has intensified across the region. US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Israeli military operations in Lebanon have reportedly killed thousands of people and displaced millions.

Furthermore, the war has disrupted global energy markets. Oil prices have climbed sharply, while investors continue to monitor the conflict’s impact on the global economy.
