Abu Dhabi: UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with Pakistan’s Minister of Interior and Counter-Narcotics, Mohsin Naqvi, to strengthen bilateral security ties and counter-narcotics collaboration.

Strengthening Historic Ties

The high-level meeting reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. Both ministers emphasized the shared commitment of their leaderships to enhance cooperation across key sectors, particularly security and law enforcement.

Focus on Security, Counter-Narcotics and Technology

Discussions covered a wide range of regional and international issues of mutual concern. Both sides agreed to deepen collaboration on security coordination, especially in combating narcotics and transnational organized crime.

The role of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in addressing modern security threats was also a key point. The leaders recognized the potential of AI-powered tools in improving public safety and regional stability.

Delegation Briefed on UAE’s Smart Policing Systems

During the Pakistani delegation’s visit to the UAE Ministry of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi and his team were given a comprehensive briefing on the Ministry’s Customer Visit Monitoring Operations Room. The visit highlighted systems designed to evaluate police services, enhance employee performance, and ensure service excellence.

High-Level UAE Officials Present

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Brigadier Engineer Hussain Ahmed Al Harithi, Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, and other senior officers.
