Karachi: The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaiti, hosted a grand iftar and dinner in honor of Karachi’s business community, bringing together prominent businessmen, healthcare professionals, and education sector leaders.

The event featured a variety of Pakistani and Arabic delicacies, symbolizing the cultural ties between the two nations. Attendees praised the gathering as a valuable opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations and foster new collaborations.

In his address, Consul General Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaiti emphasized the enduring relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, highlighting their strong economic and cultural connections spanning several decades. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to investing significantly in Pakistan in the coming years and acknowledged Pakistan’s crucial role in the UAE’s development.

He noted the invaluable contributions of Pakistani doctors in the UAE’s healthcare sector and stressed the potential for further collaboration in sports and food security. He reaffirmed that the UAE government remains committed to supporting Pakistan’s economic stability at all levels.

Al-Rumaiti also referenced the first-ever international date festival held in Pakistan as a testament to the growing cooperation between the two nations. He expressed optimism that such initiatives would pave the way for increased bilateral trade and investment opportunities.

The high-profile event served as a platform to reinforce the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and the UAE, furthering cooperation across multiple sectors.
