Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the FPCCI Launchpad Pakistan, highlighting the critical role of youth entrepreneurship and innovation in shaping Pakistan’s economic future.

High-Profile Attendance at FPCCI Event

The event, organized by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), was attended by Sindh Governor M. Kamran Tissori, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, Senior Vice President Saquib Fayyaz, diplomats, consuls general, commercial attachés, and representatives from the public and private sectors. Senior Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon, Minister for Planning & Development Nasir Shah, and Minister for Home Affairs Ziaul Hassan Lajar also accompanied the CM.

Empowering Young Entrepreneurs

In his speech, the Sindh CM reaffirmed his commitment to the project, initially discussed at the HEC Science and Technology program. He stated that Launchpad Pakistan aims to connect young entrepreneurs and innovators with investors seeking groundbreaking ideas.

He praised the FPCCI for establishing a platform that bridges the gap between academia and industry, fostering collaboration between businesses and universities to tackle economic challenges. “This initiative will not only accelerate economic progress but also align our education system with evolving industry needs,” he said.

Strengthening SMEs and Local Innovation

Murad Ali Shah underscored the importance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), calling them the backbone of the economy. He noted that Launchpad Pakistan would provide financial assistance and investment opportunities to help SMEs scale their operations and boost economic growth.

Emphasizing local innovation to reduce import dependency, he pointed out that Pakistan spends substantial foreign exchange on imports. “By investing in our industries and fostering innovation, we can strengthen domestic production, create jobs, and drive economic growth,” he added.

Sindh Government’s Commitment to Innovation

The CM urged universities, businesses, and investors to actively engage with Launchpad Pakistan and seize its opportunities. He reiterated the Sindh Government’s commitment, aligning with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to fully support this initiative for innovation-driven economic transformation.

Concluding his address, Murad Ali Shah congratulated the FPCCI team for their efforts and expressed confidence that Launchpad Pakistan would unlock the immense potential of Pakistan’s youth in the years to come.
