Shehbaz to Visit Uzbekistan for High-Level Talks on Trade and Connectivity

Tashkent: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will embark on an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 25-26, 2025, at the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The visit aims to strengthen the strategic partnership and enhance multifaceted cooperation between the two nations. Key discussions will focus on boosting bilateral trade, improving transport connectivity, and leveraging transit potential. The leaders will explore joint projects in sectors such as the light and leather industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and electrical engineering.

Additionally, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism collaborations will be discussed, along with an exchange of views on regional and global affairs. The summit will conclude with the adoption of a Joint Declaration and multiple bilateral agreements.

As part of the visit, Shehbaz Sharif and Mirziyoyev will also participate in the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum, fostering economic ties between the two countries.
