Karachi: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi visited Asia’s largest United Arab Emirates (UAE) Visa Center, recently inaugurated in Karachi. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve the Pakistani community with fast, transparent, and comprehensive consular services.
Afridi, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), expressed his admiration for the efficiency of the center. “Delighted to visit Asia’s largest United Arab Emirates Visa Center, newly built in Karachi — a vital hub serving our Pakistani brothers and sisters,” he wrote. “I’m amazed it has already started providing comprehensive services including visa processing and attestation of all types of documents — commercial, non-commercial, birth certificates, marriage certificates, degrees, and property papers.”
The center is managed by the UAE Consulate Karachi, under the leadership of Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateq Al Remeithi. Afridi praised the consulate’s efforts to make essential services easily accessible and efficient for families in Pakistan.
He also thanked UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continued support in strengthening the bonds between Pakistan and the UAE. The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts between Shahid Afridi and Dr. Bakheet Al Remeithi.
Afridi’s visit further reflects the growing diplomatic and people-to-people ties between the two brotherly nations.
