Samsung introduces the Galaxy M47 with a 6,000mAh battery and long-term software support.
SEOUL: Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M47, a new mid-range smartphone that offers improved performance, extended battery life and long-term software support as the company expands its M-series lineup.
The Galaxy M47 builds on the design of the Galaxy A27 while adding several upgrades, including a larger battery, faster charging and bypass charging technology designed to improve gaming performance and reduce heat generation.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother visuals and scrolling. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects the display, while a centred punch-hole houses the 12MP front-facing camera.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy M47 in two colour options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue.
The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and comes with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The Galaxy M47 runs One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung says the smartphone will receive six years of Android operating system upgrades and six years of security updates, extending its software support well beyond many competitors in the same price segment.
On the back, the handset features a triple-camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro lens.
One of the device’s standout features is its 6,000mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging. The handset also includes bypass charging technology that draws power directly from the charger during demanding tasks, helping reduce battery stress and improve thermal management.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy M47 from approximately $243 for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, targeting users looking for reliable performance, long battery life and extended software support at a competitive price.
