Religious Harmony remained the focus as a Pakistani delegation of Muslim and Christian faith leaders, along with human rights advocates, attended the 2nd Annual National Coalition Against Hate Conference at the National Press Club.

The conference, hosted by the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council, brought together representatives from more than 70 religious and civic organisations. Participants discussed ways to strengthen interfaith cooperation, protect religious freedom and counter rising hate and intolerance.
Delegation Shares Pakistan’s Initiatives
During the event, the Pakistani delegation highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to promote interfaith harmony and protect the rights of religious minorities.
Moreover, the speakers discussed community dialogue, peacebuilding programmes and initiatives to counter religious extremism. They also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who advocated equal rights for citizens of every faith.

Meanwhile, U.S. Representatives Greg Stanton and Brad Schneider addressed the conference. Anila Ali, bestselling author Dara Horn, representatives of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Dr. Charles Asher also shared their views.
Furthermore, the speakers explored practical ways to combat religious hatred, tackle online extremism and safeguard freedom of religion or belief. They also stressed the important role of women in building peaceful and inclusive communities.
