Punjab Governor Advocates for Economic Revolution through Brand Economy

Islamabad: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Hayder emphasized that Pakistan can achieve an economic revolution by promoting a brand business economy. He shared these views as the special guest at the 14th Brand of the Year Award ceremony, organized by Brands Foundation, in Islamabad.
This was the first North Region ceremony for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Northern Areas, and it saw remarkable success, thanks to the efforts of Sheikh Rashid Alam and his team. Governor Hayder presented awards to 175 leading brands across various categories, including Nation Pride, Brand Icon, Brand Scientist, Innovative Brand, Best CEO, and Emerging Brand.
In his speech, Governor Hayder highlighted the transformative potential of strong, widely recognized brands for Pakistan’s economy. He stressed the need to foster a brand-driven economy for sustainable growth and economic stability. He also lauded the Brand of the Year Award as Pakistan’s largest and most credible platform for promoting the recognition of trusted and popular brands.
Nasser Mansoor Qureshi, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, spoke on the importance of brand empowerment, aligning it with global business practices. FPCCI Zonal Chairman Zakie Ajaz emphasized the potential of the awards to elevate Pakistani brands on the international stage.
Sheikh Rashid Alam, Founder and CEO of Brands Foundation, highlighted the 17-year journey of the Brand Awards program, which was initiated by a former Prime Minister. He reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to promoting brand development and intellectual property rights to drive rapid economic growth in Pakistan.
The ceremony attracted widespread participation from various companies, showcasing the growing popularity of the Brand Awards in the business community.
