PM Shehbaz Praises Peaceful Resolution of AJK Situation, Vows to Address People’s Concerns

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday lauded the amicable resolution of the recent situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), assuring that the federal government would take all necessary measures to address the concerns of the Kashmiri people.
Chairing a meeting with members of the government’s negotiating committee following the successful conclusion of talks in AJK, the prime minister praised the team’s efforts in ensuring a peaceful outcome through dialogue and understanding.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Sardar Muhammad Yusuf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Ahad Khan Cheema, as well as Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Chairman PM Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Qamar Zaman Kaira.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also appreciated the Joint Action Committee (JAC) for its cooperation and constructive role in promoting peace and development in the region.
“The government will continue to serve the Kashmiri people and take every step necessary to resolve their issues,” he said. “Public welfare and peace are our top priorities. We have always stood by our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue to protect their rights.”
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to addressing the challenges facing AJK and promoting sustainable development in line with the aspirations of its residents.
“Our focus has always been on the issues of Azad Kashmir, and we will keep taking steps to ensure the prosperity and progress of its people,” he added.
