Petrol Prices Government Keeps Fuel Rates Unchanged for Three Days

The petrol prices will remain unchanged for the next three days, with the federal government maintaining the current rates until Monday.

Petrol will continue to cost Rs325.43 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel will remain at Rs383.95 per litre.

The government’s decision follows a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) in Islamabad on Friday. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired the meeting.

The ECC had also approved a Rs1.34 per litre increase in the dealers’ margin on petroleum products. The increase takes the total dealers’ margin to Rs10 per litre.

Following the decision, petroleum dealers called off their planned strike.

The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association confirmed that the government had accepted the Rs1.34 per litre increase in the dealers’ margin.

The government’s decision means consumers will continue to pay the existing petrol and diesel rates until Monday, when authorities are expected to review the prices again.
