The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by 43 paisas per litre. The new petrol price stands at Rs390.79 per litre.
At the same time, the government has increased the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.47 per litre. The revised diesel price is now Rs424.92 per litre.
New Fuel Prices Take Effect
The revised rates will come into effect from Friday, according to the latest government notification.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The adjustment follows continued changes in international oil markets. Domestic fuel prices have also moved through several recent revisions.

The government reviews petroleum prices based on movements in international oil markets.
The pricing formula also considers other components that affect the final domestic rates.
