Minsk: The Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” concluded with a grand ceremony at the Palace of the Republic, drawing an impressive crowd of around 3,000 guests. The Pakistani film “Nayab,” directed by Umair Nasir Ali, was awarded the prestigious Special Award of the Judges.
The award was received by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the festival organizers for showcasing Pakistani cinema. In his acceptance speech, he praised “Nayab” for its inspiring portrayal of a resilient female protagonist, symbolizing the strength and determination of women who pursue their dreams despite facing substantial challenges.
“Nayab” has captured audiences with its powerful narrative and exceptional performances, making this international recognition a significant milestone for Pakistani cinema. This win follows last year’s success of “Kamli,” another Pakistani film that earned multiple awards at “Listapad.”
The growing acclaim for Pakistani films highlights the country’s rich cinematic talent, attracting increased international interest in Pakistani storytelling and film artistry.
