Pakistan to Face Internet Disruptions Alongside Electricity Issues This Week

According to sources, internet services are expected to be severely affected during evening hours, particularly at the same time as power outages. This is likely due to multiple internet service providers announcing submarine cable maintenance up until April 20.

Users around the country have already been facing significant difficulties with internet services since yesterday evening.

Officials have confirmed that repair work on a marine cable has begun. A spokesperson for Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) stated that the repair process will continue until April 20.

The spokesperson added that users may experience slow internet speeds during evening hours while the work is ongoing. The fault is being addressed by an international consortium responsible for fixing the marine cable.
