Karachi: Pakistan’s IT exporters are expanding into traditional and emerging markets with advanced products and services. A delegation of 10 leading IT companies, comprising over 30 delegates, is participating in Web Summit Qatar 2025, one of the world’s premier technology conferences. The Pakistan Pavilion at the summit highlights the country’s growing IT and tech innovation landscape.
The pavilion was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Lt Gen (retd) Muhammad Aamer, Pakistan Software Export Board CEO, Abu Bakar, and Senior Vice Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association, Umair Nizam. This initiative, led by PSEB and P@SHA, aims to strengthen Pakistan’s global presence in the digital economy.
Qatar: A Key Market for Pakistani IT Companies
Umair Nizam stated that Qatar is emerging as a key market for Pakistani IT firms. He credited this progress to the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, PSEB, and the Ministry of IT & Telecom in driving the industry’s growth.
The Pakistani delegation is showcasing IT solutions, software services, and tech innovations to reinforce the country’s position as a rising hub for digital services. Their participation is facilitating connections with international investors, partners, and technology leaders.
Strengthening Pakistan-Qatar Tech Collaboration
Ambassador Muhammad Aamer emphasized Pakistan’s IT sector’s strength and potential for international collaborations. PSEB CEO Abu Bakar highlighted the government’s commitment to boosting IT exports and global partnerships. Umair Nizam stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in expanding Pakistan’s tech industry.

Qatar remains an important export destination for Pakistani tech firms. Discussions on the first day of the summit have laid the foundation for stronger partnerships between Qatari and Pakistani enterprises.
