Pakistan–Rwanda Business Council Holds First Meeting to Boost Trade Opportunities

Karachi: The first meeting of the Pakistan–Rwanda Business Council was held at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), chaired by Chairman Atif Iqbal. FPCCI Vice President Asif Sakhi and other members also attended the meeting.

During the session, participants held detailed discussions on various aspects of promoting bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Rwanda. The attendees particularly emphasized the vast potential for cooperation in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, transportation, construction, nursing, sports, agriculture and other industries.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Atif Iqbal stated that the scope of the Pakistan–Rwanda Business Council would be expanded and its membership increased. He highlighted that Rwanda offers numerous business opportunities that Pakistani investors can take advantage of. He further added that efforts would continue to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries in order to strengthen economic ties.

Participants of the meeting expressed their commitment to effectively utilizing the platform of the Business Council to give a new dimension to trade relations between Pakistan and Rwanda.

Asif Sakhi remarked that the establishment of the Pakistan–Rwanda Business Council is a welcome development, which will help promote trade relations between the two countries. He noted that there are extensive opportunities for cooperation across various sectors, which can significantly boost mutual trade if properly utilized.

He further stated that the formation of the Business Council will not only strengthen ties within the business community but also open new avenues for investment. Asif Sakhi added that FPCCI is the largest representative body of the country’s business community, and its doors are always open for traders and industrialists. He emphasized that the institution is committed to providing all possible facilitation to the business community and creating international trade opportunities.

He expressed hope that the Pakistan–Rwanda Business Council will bring a new dimension to economic relations between the two countries and create new opportunities for growth through joint ventures.
