Karachi: The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) and the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote entrepreneurship and provide mentorship opportunities for freelancers and startups across the country.

The collaboration will focus on entrepreneurial boot camps, mentorship sessions, workshops, and networking events designed to nurture innovation, build sustainable businesses, and create opportunities in both local and international markets.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ibrahim Amin, Chairman of PAFLA, said:

“This partnership marks a new chapter for Pakistan’s freelance and entrepreneurial ecosystem. By joining hands with NIC Karachi, we aim to transform freelancers into entrepreneurs and job creators. Our focus is to empower the youth with the right mentorship, tools, and exposure to thrive in today’s competitive digital landscape.”

According to PAFLA, Pakistan has an estimated 2.37 million freelancers, who collectively earn more than $500 million annually from foreign clients, in addition to significant revenue from domestic markets.

On the occasion, Azfar Hussain, Director NIC Karachi, remarked:

“NIC Karachi has always been committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. This collaboration with PAFLA will further strengthen our mission by mentoring freelancers and helping them transition into scalable businesses. Together, we will build a stronger foundation for the future of Pakistan’s economy.”

As part of this initiative, PAFLA and NIC Karachi also hosted the first event under the new collaboration, “From Freelancer to Founder 3.0”, in Karachi. Hassan Mujtaba, CEO of Arcanum Academy, and Sagar Samay, Content Creator and AI Artist, shared their experiences and insights with freelancers and startup leaders during the session.

The partnership is expected to play a key role in strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy and building a strong entrepreneurial culture nationwide.
