Opportunities in Saudi Arabia waiting for Pakistanis

Karachi: Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq has said that now we need to convince ourselves through real struggle in every field. Saudi Arabia is continuing to make every possible effort to fulfill its Vision 2030, but we also need to try not to miss this opportunity. He expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized in Karachi titled Saudi-Pak Connect Gateway to Trade 2024 through video link. On this occasion, the organizer of the program Engineer Naeem Khanani, former federal minister Ashfaq Tola, former chairman of Abad Hasan Bakshi, chairman of T-Dep Zubair Motiwala and other people from business community participated. Ahmad Farooq said that Pakistan should work with Saudi Arabia to get out of the economic crisis, there are great opportunities for Pakistan in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia wants to be independent in IT and construction sector, but for this it needs skilled manpower. Saudi investment in construction sector is more than one trillion dollars. The positive effects of the visit of a delegation of 32 companies from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan are coming to light. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is a great opportunity for Pakistan. Saudi Arabia wants access to information technology. There are vast opportunities for Pakistan in information technology as well as other sectors. Pakistan can also benefit in the field of manpower. He said that there are 2.5 million Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia who lack training. We are taking steps to increase their training and skills development. As a result of which remittances will increase further. There are many opportunities for Pakistan in the health sector in Saudi Arabia. We need to make a plan at the government level. Through which we will be able to promote our construction sector in Saudi Arabia. On this occasion, Zubair Motiwala said that Saudi Arabia wants to increase the export of rice from Pakistan from 7 to 20%, but for this the government has to play its role. We should focus on IT, we need freelancing and IT. The policy needs to change. Dollars are earned through freelancing all over the world but this is less seen in Pakistan. Former Federal Minister Ashfaq Tola said that under Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia needs 500,000 manpower, according to the ground realities of Saudi Arabia, the government should allocate 50,000 posts for accountants. Learning Saudi language takes time. The former chairman of Abad, Hassan Bakshi, said that a delegation from Abad will visit Saudi Arabia very soon, there are many opportunities for employment and business in Saudi Arabia. It should be noted that six sessions were held in the event. From which the speakers expressed their views and appreciated the organization of the seminar.
