A two-day solo painting and charcoal artwork exhibition by artist Nadeem Sabtain opened at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, attracting a large number of artists, writers, poets, and cultural personalities.
The exhibition, organized by the Arts Council’s Special Event Committee, was inaugurated by Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah alongside Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah.
The exhibition was titled “Tareekh Mein Jurrat Ka Samar Bo Ke Chalay Hain” and featured 40 artworks inspired by Sabtain’s own poetry.
The displayed pieces included portraits of major political personalities such as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Qaim Ali Shah.
Addressing the ceremony, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said the exhibition reflected democratic values and historical consciousness, adding that such cultural initiatives help educate and inspire younger generations.
Muhammad Ahmed Shah described the exhibition as a unique blend of poetry and visual art, praising Sabtain for developing a distinct artistic identity. He also highlighted the Arts Council’s growing international recognition through cultural festivals and artistic programs.
The exhibition was attended by notable personalities including poetess Fatima Hasan, artist Moazzam Ali, and poet Tehzeeb Hafi, who appreciated the role of the Arts Council in promoting fine arts and literature in Pakistan.
The exhibition will remain open until May 21, 2026, at the Ground Floor Lobby Area of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
