BCFR Chairman Condemns Indian Army Chief’s Remarks, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Strong Reaction to Alleged “Provocative” Statement on Pakistan’s Existence

The Chairman of the Balochistan Council on Foreign Relations (Balochistan Council on Foreign Relations), Changgaiz Hussain Khan, has strongly condemned recent remarks attributed to the Indian Army Chief, describing them as provocative, irresponsible, and a threat to regional stability.

He said the statement reflects a dangerous departure from diplomatic norms and a “serious misreading of ground realities” between nuclear-armed neighbors.

Reaffirmation of Pakistan’s Sovereignty and Strategic Position

In his statement, he rejected any suggestion questioning Pakistan’s existence, asserting that the country’s geography is permanent and its sovereignty non-negotiable.

He emphasized Pakistan’s strategic importance, noting that initiatives such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) continue to enhance the country’s role in regional connectivity and economic integration.

Role of Balochistan Highlighted

The statement underscored that Balochistan remains a key pillar of Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national strength.

He said the people of Balochistan stand with the armed forces and have made significant sacrifices in efforts to counter instability and external interference.

Call for Regional Stability and Responsible Leadership

Changgaiz Hussain Khan urged restraint from military leadership on both sides, warning that inflammatory rhetoric could escalate tensions between nuclear states.

He stressed that true leadership requires focusing on internal development, socio-economic challenges, and regional cooperation rather than confrontational messaging.

Closing Message on National Resolve

Reaffirming Pakistan’s defensive posture, he stated that the country’s armed forces remain fully capable of protecting its territory and sovereignty under all circumstances.

He urged India’s military leadership to respect international borders and adopt a more responsible and peaceful approach toward regional relations.
