Meta AI Launches Groundbreaking Generative AI Video Editing Feature

This latest innovation allows users to enhance

short-form videos using over 50 preset AI

prompts that instantly transform visual elements

Web Desk

Karachi: Meta AI has launched a new generative AI video editing tool, now available across the Meta AI app, the Meta.AI website, and the Edits app. This latest innovation allows users to enhance short-form videos using over 50 preset AI prompts that instantly transform visual elements such as outfits, backgrounds, and lighting.

Inspired by Meta’s cutting-edge Movie Gen models, this feature represents the company’s first step toward fully AI-driven video generation. Meta plans to introduce customizable text prompts later this year, offering users even more creative control over their video edits.

The AI video editor is designed with accessibility in mind, enabling anyone—regardless of technical skill—to produce high-quality video enhancements. Users simply upload a video and apply preset transformations, including effects that mimic graphic novels, cinematic lighting, and video game aesthetics. For a limited time, 10-second video edits are available free of charge.

Edited videos can be shared directly to Facebook and Instagram via the Meta AI and Edits apps, or uploaded to the Discover feed through the Meta.AI website. This seamless integration with Meta platforms supports content creators in expanding their digital storytelling capabilities.

The tool was developed with feedback from creators and is part of Meta’s broader commitment to AI-powered creativity. It follows a history of innovation starting with Make-A-Scene in 2022, followed by Llama Image models and Movie Gen. With this launch, Meta AI aims to redefine how users express themselves through video.
