Madhuri Dixit Bollywood Star Returns to TV Hosting After 24 Years

Madhuri Dixit is set to return to television as a host after a 24-year hiatus, taking charge of the upcoming Marathi quiz show ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’.

According to Indian media reports, Dixit will host the Marathi adaptation of the popular quiz programme ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, which Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has hosted for years.

Traditional Look in First Promo

The show’s makers have released its first promotional video featuring Dixit in a traditional Maharashtrian look.

The actress appears in a green-and-gold sari paired with traditional gold jewellery and a Maharashtrian-style nose ring.

Speaking in Marathi, Dixit introduces the programme and hints at an exciting new chapter for viewers across Maharashtra.

“Something that has never happened before is about to happen,” she says in the promotional video.

She adds that a new conversation will begin in homes across Maharashtra as she brings ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’ to audiences.

Dixit Excited About New Journey

Dixit also shared the promotional video on her Instagram account and expressed excitement about taking on the new role.

She said she was thrilled to present a game show built around knowledge, dreams and possibilities.

The programme marks a significant return to television hosting for the actress, who has built a decades-long career in Hindi cinema.

Her return is expected to attract considerable attention from audiences across Maharashtra, where the Marathi-language show will target viewers.
