DUBAI: LuLu Financial Holdings, a global leader in financial services, has announced a strategic partnership with Abhi Middle East Limited to enhance financial inclusion and streamline cross-border remittance solutions for expatriate workers in the UAE.
As part of this collaboration, workers in the UAE will be able to instantly access their earned wages and remit funds to their families back home through LuLu Exchange — without having to wait until payday. The service introduces Earned Wage Access (EWA) and Send Now, Pay Later (SNPL) features, offering users greater financial control and timely support for loved ones.
The initiative aims to provide financial relief and flexibility to thousands of expatriate workers. Through the integration of ABHI’s embedded finance technology, LuLuFin — the digital arm of LuLu Financial Holdings — will allow users to access wages in advance and send international remittances instantly, with the option to defer payments.
The rollout of the service will begin with key remittance corridors, with the Pakistan corridor scheduled for launch in May.
Thampi Sudarsanan, CEO of LuLu Exchange UAE, emphasized the impact of this move:
“This partnership with ABHI represents a bold step toward redefining financial connectivity for global diasporas. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we aim to create a seamless bridge for expatriates to support their families, setting the stage for a future where financial inclusivity knows no borders.”
Omair Ansari, Co-Founder & CEO of Abhi Middle East Limited, added:
“The partnership with LuLu Financial Holdings marks a significant step in enabling expatriates to access their hard-earned wages seamlessly. By integrating ABHI’s technology with LuLu’s market expertise, we aim to empower underserved communities with flexible and convenient financial tools.”
This collaboration reflects LuLuFin’s commitment to economic empowerment through digital innovation. By partnering with ABHI, a pioneer in embedded financial services, the initiative seeks to provide timely credit access to individuals and small businesses — a move expected to stimulate entrepreneurial activity and uplift financially underserved communities.
