KMEDA representatives highlight efforts to recover Customs-held goods for Karachi traders
Efforts by the Karachi Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association (KMEDA) have resulted in the return of a significant portion of mobile phones and other goods that had been held by Customs while being transported through TCS courier services.
A substantial quantity of the seized consignments has now been handed back to the concerned traders, bringing relief and satisfaction to members of the business community.
KMEDA President Muhammad Minhaj Gulfam, along with his cabinet and particularly Senior Chairman of the Law and Order Committee Tahir Mushtaq, played a key role in pursuing the matter and following up with the relevant authorities.
The association said the recovery represents an important outcome of continued engagement and practical efforts to address traders’ concerns.

KMEDA said its efforts will continue to secure the return of the remaining goods that are still being held.
The association stressed that resolving traders’ issues requires consistent follow-up, engagement with authorities and practical action rather than statements or claims.
KMEDA said its objective is not to compete with any other organisation but to safeguard the rights and legitimate interests of Karachi’s mobile and electronics traders.
The association expressed confidence that Muhammad Minhaj Gulfam and his team would continue working to address issues faced by the city’s trader community.
The development has been welcomed by affected traders, who expressed satisfaction over the recovery of their goods.
