Key government buildings across Islamabad will be illuminated in pink on the evenings of October 19 and 20 as part of Pinktober, the annual breast cancer awareness campaign.
The initiative is being undertaken on the directions of First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari to raise public awareness about breast cancer and emphasise the importance of early detection and timely medical consultation.
Buildings set to be illuminated include the President’s Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Parliament House and Cabinet Secretariat.
The buildings will glow pink from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on both nights, highlighting the importance of recognising the disease early and seeking medical advice without delay.
