Key Agreements Signed by 12th Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission

between Pakistan and the UAE

Abu Dhabi: The 12th Meeting of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) took place on June 24, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, underscoring the deep-rooted strategic partnership between the two nations.

The meeting was co-chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Talks Held in Spirit of Brotherhood and Cooperation

Discussions were conducted in an atmosphere of mutual trust and brotherhood. Both sides reviewed regional and global developments and reiterated their shared commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.

A protocol agreement was signed after the session, outlining a roadmap for future cooperation through sectoral working groups, enhanced bilateral visits, and closer institutional collaboration.

Major Agreements Signed

Three key agreements were signed during the meeting, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties:

  1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Mutual Exemption of Entry Visas
  2. Establishment of a Joint Task Force for Investment Promotion
  3. Agreement on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy

These initiatives are expected to boost economic, technological, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Next Meeting to be Held in Pakistan

Both delegations expressed satisfaction over the outcomes of the 12th JMC and agreed to convene the 13th session in Pakistan on a mutually agreed date.

This latest session is a testament to the strategic, dynamic, and progressive relations between Pakistan and the UAE, aimed at expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
