KARACHI: A high-level trade delegation from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), led by Senior Vice President Muhammad Raza, departed on Thursday for a week-long official visit to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The mission aims to strengthen bilateral trade ties and explore new avenues for economic cooperation.
The delegation includes a diverse group of exporters and manufacturers representing key sectors such as textiles, agro-commodities, food products, building materials, and industrial supplies.
During the visit, the KCCI representatives will hold Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with leading chambers and trade bodies in both countries. Scheduled discussions with government authorities and policymakers will focus on trade facilitation, market access, and investment opportunities.
Speaking prior to departure, Muhammad Raza stated that the visit reflects KCCI’s commitment to promoting Pakistan’s exports. He highlighted the significant potential in both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for expanding trade in industrial inputs and value-added goods.
The delegation intends to engage counterparts to identify new markets and resolve issues hindering trade growth. The visit also seeks to enhance institutional cooperation to ensure sustained business engagement and long-term economic partnerships within the region.
