Karachi: Pakistan’s prominent tailoring brand, Ambassador, has been named among the world’s top 20 fashion tailors. Invited to Milan, Italy, the fashion capital, Ambassador took part in a prestigious show organized by Arbiter Magazine in collaboration with luxury brands Loro Piana, BMW, and Emirates.
Ambassador’s Rise to Global Recognition
At the Milan event, CEO Sarfaraz Akbar, representing Sartoria Di Ambassador, alongside his brothers, showcased their tailoring mastery, winning accolades that placed Pakistan on the global tailoring map. The judges were particularly impressed with the bespoke suit crafted by Ambassador, earning the brand a place among the top-tier international tailors.
Legacy of Craftsmanship in Karachi
Reflecting on the brand’s journey, Sarfaraz Akbar shared, “My father, Muhammad Akbar Barkat Ali, along with my brothers Afzal Shehzad and Sajjad Akbar, built a legacy beginning with Ambassador in 1971. Today, our family tradition continues to bring quality and elegance to our clientele.”
Ambassador has grown to include branches like Ambassador Tailors, Ambassador The Custom Shop, and most recently Sartoria Di Ambassador in 2020. The brand continues to merge traditional tailoring techniques with modern designs, reflecting a family heritage of over 200 years in the craft.
