Karachi: The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi successfully concluded the Jom! Malaysia Chalo! event, held at Dolmen Mall, Clifton, from 13 to 15 September 2024. This vibrant three-day event highlighted Malaysia’s educational prospects, tourism attractions, and rich cultural heritage, attracting a significant number of visitors.

Malaysia’s Higher Education Opportunities Featured

The event featured exhibitions from 12 leading Malaysian higher education institutions. Pakistani students and their families had the chance to explore various academic programs, scholarships, and study options available in Malaysia. Tourism Malaysia and Batik Air also participated, offering insights into travel experiences and affordable flight options between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur.

Cultural Performances and Official Launch

A special highlight was the official launch ceremony, held on 14 September 2024 at 4:00 PM. Traditional Malaysian cultural performances enthralled the audience, showcasing the vibrant heritage of the country.

Mr. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, expressed his gratitude to the participants, partners, and attendees. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening Malaysia-Pakistan relations, stating, “This event reflects Malaysia’s commitment to fostering deeper ties with Pakistan, particularly in education and tourism. We are proud to position Malaysia as a top destination for Pakistani students and travelers.”

A Strong Public Response

The event drew a diverse audience, including students, families, travelers, and business community members, all eager to explore the opportunities Malaysia has to offer.

The Consulate General of Malaysia expressed its appreciation to all those involved in the event and looks forward to organizing more initiatives to strengthen the bond between Malaysia and Pakistan.
