Islamabad: JazzCash, Pakistan’s leading fintech platform, has teamed up with Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming service, to enable seamless payments for Spotify Premium subscriptions. This partnership allows millions of users across Pakistan to subscribe to Spotify Premium directly through JazzCash, simplifying access to uninterrupted music and exclusive features.
With the rapid growth of e-commerce payments in Pakistan, transactions reached a staggering 118 million in Q1 FY25. Notably, 91% of these transactions were facilitated through digital wallets, according to the latest Payment Systems Review. JazzCash plays a pivotal role in this transformation, boasting over 2,000 online merchants and 2 million unique monthly customers for e-commerce transactions. In 2024 alone, JazzCash processed PKR 160 billion in e-commerce payments, solidifying its leadership in the digital payments space.
Murtaza Ali, President of JazzCash, remarked, “A large part of Pakistan’s population remains underbanked, relying on fintech platforms like JazzCash. Our partnership with Spotify enables millions to enjoy a premium music experience without needing a bank account. Spotify Premium is now available for PKR 349 per month through JazzCash. Users can select a plan in the Spotify app, choose JazzCash as the payment method, and confirm the subscription.
