Iran-Pakistan Friendship: Iranian Consul General Congratulates Pakistan on 79th Independence Day

KARACHI: Iran-Pakistan Friendship was highlighted by Iranian Consul General Akbar Eisaa Zadeh as he extended warm congratulations to the Government, Armed Forces and people of Pakistan on the country’s 79th Independence Day.

In his message, Zadeh paid tribute to Pakistan’s founding fathers, particularly Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for their sacrifices and leadership in the struggle for an independent Pakistan.

Historic Bonds Between Iran and Pakistan

The Iranian consul general said relations between Iran and Pakistan extend beyond their geographical proximity.

He described the relationship as one rooted in shared history, culture, religion and strong people-to-people ties.

Zadeh noted that Iran was the first country to officially recognise Pakistan’s independence.

He said the two countries had continued to stand together through difficult and hopeful times since then.

The consul general also highlighted the influence of Allama Iqbal’s poetry and thought, describing it as an important link between the literary and spiritual traditions of the two nations.

Focus on Trade and Regional Cooperation

Zadeh said Iran wants to further strengthen its comprehensive relations with Pakistan.

He identified economic cooperation, trade, energy, border cooperation and cultural exchanges as key areas for future engagement.

He also called for stronger peaceful borders, increased bilateral trade and enhanced regional security.

According to the Iranian consul general, these shared objectives can create sustainable benefits for the people of both countries.

Prayers for Pakistan’s Progress

Zadeh paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives during Pakistan’s independence movement.

He also prayed for Pakistan’s continued progress, security, prosperity and national pride.

The Iranian Consul General concluded his message by reaffirming the enduring friendship between the two neighbouring countries.
