Ulan Bator: The Cyrillic Mongolian editions of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China“ (Volume II) and “Eradicating Poverty” were unveiled at a launch ceremony and seminar on governance held in Mongolia’s capital, Ulan Bator, on Monday.
Collaborative Launch and Seminar on Governance
The event, attended by over 300 representatives from political parties, media, think tanks, and diplomatic missions from China and Mongolia, featured a joint unveiling ceremony followed by a seminar. Experts and scholars from both nations shared insights on governance practices and experiences in poverty alleviation.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
This milestone coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership. Participants emphasized that the exchange of governance experiences and collaborative exploration of modernization paths with national characteristics hold immense significance. These efforts aim to deepen mutual trust, strengthen friendship, and advance shared future objectives for the two nations.
Significance of Xi Jinping’s Works
The organizers highlighted that “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” encapsulates Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, providing the international community an authoritative perspective on China’s governance. Similarly, “Eradicating Poverty” offers a systematic exposition of China’s poverty alleviation efforts, contributing Chinese solutions to global challenges.
Boosting Cultural and Strategic Ties
Khurelbaatar Bulgantuya, Deputy Chairman of Mongolia’s State Great Hural (Parliament), praised China’s modernization under President Xi Jinping’s leadership, noting the global relevance of its poverty reduction achievements. Shen Minjuan, the Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, expressed hope that the wisdom shared in these works would inspire Mongolia’s development and enhance bilateral cooperation.
Adiyasuren Davaajargal, State Secretary of Mongolia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, highlighted the growing cooperation between the two nations. He described Xi’s works as pivotal in bridging governance exchanges.
Expanding Global Reach
“Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” has been translated into 42 languages, while “Eradicating Poverty” has editions in English, French, Spanish, and more. The Cyrillic Mongolian edition marks the first translation of the latter through international collaboration.
Co-Organizers and Impact
The event was co-organized by the Chinese State Council Information Office, Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China International Publishing Group, and the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia. It sets the stage for deeper cultural exchanges and a strengthened strategic partnership between China and Mongolia.
