Quaid-e-Azam House Museum Hosts Special Cultural Event

On the occasion of International Museum Day, a special cultural event was organized at the historic Quaid-e-Azam House Museum in Karachi to promote Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, history, and tourism potential.

The celebration brought together government officials, cultural stakeholders, and representatives from the tourism and hospitality industry to emphasize the importance of preserving historical landmarks and museums.

Sindh Government Reaffirms Commitment to Heritage Preservation

The event was attended by Sindh Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, along with senior officials including the Director General of Antiquities and Archaeology and the Managing Director of the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC).

Officials highlighted ongoing efforts by the Government of Sindh to promote heritage tourism and safeguard the province’s centuries-old cultural identity.

Stakeholders Emphasize Role of Museums in Tourism Growth

Participants from the hospitality sector, including representatives of the Pakistan Hotels Association and Hotel Mehran Karachi, also attended the event.

Speakers emphasized that museums play a crucial role in strengthening cultural awareness and boosting both national and international tourism. They noted that initiatives like these help connect younger generations with Pakistan’s historical legacy.

Call for Greater Cultural Awareness

Participants collectively stressed the need for continued investment in museums, heritage sites, and cultural programs to ensure the preservation of Sindh’s identity and historical significance.

The event concluded with appreciation for collaborative efforts between government institutions and private stakeholders in promoting cultural tourism.
