Top Political and Academic Figures Attend Two-Day Event in Karachi
A two-day international conference organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Salim Habib University concluded in Karachi with participation from prominent political leaders, legal experts, academics, researchers, and students from Pakistan and abroad.
The conference was attended by Sindh Chief Minister’s Special Assistant and IT Minister Ali Rashid, Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Ali Khursheedi, former MNA and High Court advocate Salman Mujahid Baloch, PPP leader Hamid Karim Awan, and MPA Najam Mirza as chief guests.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by Registrar Dr. Hussain Habib, HR Manager Farhan Arif, Senior Student Finance Officer Syed Hasnain Alam, and faculty members of the university.
During the conference, experts participated in panel discussions, workshops, and academic sessions covering a wide range of topics, including biomedical engineering, economics, science and technology, and social sciences.
Addressing the audience, Salman Mujahid Baloch emphasized the importance of education, international cooperation, and research-driven innovation.
He said academic forums play a key role in preparing youth to understand global challenges and develop practical solutions for the future.
Registrar Dr. Hussain Habib and Syed Hasnain Alam thanked the guests and participants for their presence and expressed hope that the conference would strengthen academic partnerships and contribute to research advancement in Pakistan.
