Pakistan is showcasing its domestically developed Haider Main Battle Tank (MBT) and the Shahpar III drone, among other innovations like Al-Khalid and Al-Zarrar tanks and the latest Super Mushshak Aircraft model. Developed in collaboration with China’s NORINCO, the Haider tank reflects Pakistan’s growing self-reliance in military production.
This year’s exhibition features exhibitors and delegations from 55 countries, including the US, China, Russia, Iran, Italy, the UK, and Azerbaijan. Türkiye leads with the largest contingent of 75 exhibitors, representing major firms such as STM, Roketsan, Meteksan, and Havelsan. China follows closely as the second-largest participant.
Iran and Italy are participating for the first time, underscoring IDEAS 2024’s expanding global appeal. A dedicated start-up pavilion highlights advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and defense technologies, spearheaded by NUST, the Pakistan Navy Maritime Science and Technology Park, and the National Aerospace and Technology Park.
