Honor X80 Pro Max: Honor X80 Pro Max debuts with massive 11,000mAh battery and flagship display

The Honor X80 Pro Max has taken the smartphone market by surprise after its launch in China, with Honor X80 Pro Max introducing an unusually large 11,000mAh battery alongside premium display features and competitive pricing.

The device marks one of the boldest battery-focused releases in the mainstream smartphone segment, positioning itself as a power-heavy option for users seeking extended usage without frequent charging.

Honor has equipped the phone with a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1280 × 2788 pixels. The screen is capable of reaching up to 10,000 nits peak brightness in limited video scenarios, according to the company.

The handset is available in Black, Orange, Red and Moon Shadow finishes and includes IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. It also features an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric security.

Under the hood, the device runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and is offered with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, paired with storage variants ranging from 128GB to 512GB. It ships with Android 16 and MagicOS 10.

In the camera department, the phone includes a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, while an 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The standout feature remains its 11,000mAh battery, supported by 90W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging, placing it among the most battery-heavy smartphones in its category.

The base model, featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, is priced at around $295, with promotional offers lowering it to approximately $250.
