Governor Sindh attends Bangladesh Independence Day ceremony

Karachi: Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and is playing a key role in promoting global peace. He stated that Pakistan is an advocate of peace and a standard-bearer of harmony in the world, while the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal are making continuous efforts for lasting peace in the region and beyond.

He expressed these views while addressing the 55th Independence Day and National Day ceremony of Bangladesh as the chief guest. Upon his arrival, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Iqbal Hussain Khan, Deputy High Commissioner Muhammad Saqib Sadaqat, and other members of the diplomatic corps warmly received him.

Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi extended heartfelt congratulations to the government and people of Bangladesh on their National Day and Independence Day and presented a bouquet to the High Commissioner. On the occasion, he also cut a cake along with the High Commissioner, Deputy High Commissioner, Dean of Consul Generals Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari, other Consuls General, and distinguished guests.

Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that Pakistan continues to make sacrifices for global peace and believes in unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah. He added that Pakistan’s message is one of peace, stability, and brotherhood.

He emphasized that new avenues of friendship, trust, and mutual cooperation are emerging between Pakistan and Bangladesh, and that bilateral relations between the two countries will grow stronger in the future. He also reaffirmed the commitment to further enhance historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties, as well as expand cooperation in trade, education, and cultural sectors between the two nations.
