Gilgit-Baltistan PM Shehbaz Pledges Full Support for New Government

Gilgit-Baltistan will remain a development priority for the federal government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said during a meeting with newly elected Chief Minister Amjad Hussain.

LHC Judges Judicial Commission Approves 10 New Appointments

The prime minister congratulated Amjad Hussain on assuming office. Both leaders discussed matters related to the development and welfare of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Shehbaz Sharif said the federal government would work closely with the new provincial administration to improve the well-being of the people. He added that the government is advancing development projects in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, healthcare, education and other key sectors.

Furthermore, the prime minister said the federal government’s priority projects include a 100-megawatt solar power initiative and the establishment of knowledge schools across the region.

In addition, the government plans to establish a Pakistan Easy Service Center in Gilgit to improve access to public services for residents.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema also attended the meeting.
